Donate
We rely on financial donations to tackle the society’s ambitious goals.
Early during the society’s inception, $10,000 was generously donated by one of our early board members and helped the society form as a non-profit and paid for many early administrative costs.
A significant donation of $100,000 from Bill Faloon (Life Extension Foundation) gave our society the ability to defeat the famous anti-cryonics law in British Columbia with a Charter Challenge in the Supreme Court.
We have received numerous smaller donations from members, as well as equipment and storage. These have been used to purchase a standby kit from Cryonics Institute, and gave us the ability to perpetually store and maintain the equipment in Vancouver.
Subsequent donations have helped the society run a number of conferences, including our largest in Downtown Vancouver on the topic of “The Genetics of Longevity”, where we invited renowned speakers like Aubrey de Grey, Jay Olshansky, and others.
In the near-term (2023, 2024), your donation will help Lifespan Society:
Organize a conference on “Aging and the Brain”
Acquire a Cryonics Response Vehicle and garage in the Lower Mainland
Replace emergency supplies like sodium citrate, heparin and acquire cryoprotectants
Grow our membership by reaching larger audiences
Hire paramedics for cryonics standby, stabilization and transport
Establish better business relations with local funeral directors
